Knowledge Translation
Knowledge translation (KT) is the process by which new knowledge is translated into information that benefits society, through changed policies, behaviors, programs and practices. KT is more than the simple dissemination of knowledge; it is the application of knowledge to solve societal problems. In the health care arena, KT refers to the process of translating new research findings into improvements in treatment, patient care, health services delivery, and health care policy and programs.
